Rev. Leroy Mars

Rev. Leroy Mars is the Executive Pastor for Mt Moriah Missionary Baptist Church.  Rev. Mars was born in Georgetwon, Guiana, South America to his now deceased parents, Isaac Adolphus Richmond Mars and Edna Mars.  He migrated to the United States in May 1972 and joined the United States Army in August of the same year.  He spent 23 years and 7 months in service before retiring with an Honorable Discharge. 

Upon retirement he was employed by Hanahan High School for 12 years as a Junior Reserved Officers Training Corp (JROTC) instructor.  In 2008, he transferred to Ivanna Eudora Kean High School in the US Virgin Islands to continue teaching JROTC until his resignation in September 2011. 

Rev. Mars has been on the staff of Mt Moriah since February 2012.  He is married to the former Lisa Jordan; they are proud parents of two boys, two girls and proud grandparents of four grandsons.
